Eclipse Effect Events is a passionate and collaborative team of DJs, charismatic hosts, creative lighting designers, experienced event services entrepreneurs, and skilled event producers on Hawaii Island. Our team consists of individuals who were born and raised in Hawaii, bringing with them a wealth of local knowledge and years of experience in creating unforgettable experiences. With a strong background in nightclubs, radio, concerts, event production, engineering, and upscale gatherings, we are a team of experts in our field. We are committed to continuously enhancing our skills by attending seminars, conventions, and pursuing ongoing education, all dedicated to mastering the art of crafting the perfect event.

Jase Takeya

Owner of Eclipse Effect Events

DJ, MC, sound tech, lighting designer, and live stream tech.

Jase was born and raised right here on Hawaii Island. He has been working in the mobile DJ industry for many years, initially starting out as a helper and shadowing various mobile DJs in the late 1990s before venturing out on his own to establish Eclipse Effect Events. Additionally, Jase has a 14-year tenure in the radio industry, having worked for KWXX, KPUA, Da Beat, KAPA, KBIG, and Native FM. He made the decision to leave the radio industry behind in order to pursue his passion for working with and assisting people in creating amazing events full-time with Eclipse Effect Events. Jase has also honed his MC skills through his experience working in nightclubs, at concerts, and events for years and by attending various yearly event seminars and classes conducted by industry experts.

DJ June

Owner of Hot Mix Pro

DJ, sound tech, and dance floor tech.

June, another talented DJ born and raised locally, brings with him extensive experience in the vibrant night club scene of Hawaii Island. With a versatile style, June possesses the ability to keep any dance floor energized, whether it's for a teen dance, prom, or a crowd that enjoys the timeless tunes of the 70s and 80s. Continuously staying up-to-date with the latest DJ techniques, music, and equipment, June is dedicated to refining his craft.

In addition to his DJ expertise, June demonstrates exceptional managerial skills and a keen attention to detail, evident in his role as one of the top managers in a prominent company during his day job. His previous DJ engagements include performances at Uncle Mikey, Coqui's Hideaway, Shooters, and Karma.

Jonathan "Koshi" Koshi

Owner of Big Island Sound

DJ and sound tech.

Koshi is the proud owner of Big Island Sound. He is a graduate of Waiakea High School and possesses a deep passion and knowledge of music. Koshi finds great joy in collaborating with local musicians and serving as their trusted sound technician for various events.
